Facebook Is Just…
// 20th April
So think of a list of items. Items such as notes jotted down between people, various lists, notices of events, invitations, tacky decorations, advertisements (official, unsolicited, and tailored), the odd photo… the minutiae of people’s lives stuck up on white for everyone to see. Thinking of facebook?
When my siblings and I were young mum put up our names, followed by our ages, in those magnetic letters on our fridge door. Coming back to visit family I’ve noticed that both my brothers now have their significant others’ names next to theirs. Relationship statuses. facebook is just a big, communal, fridge door.

As a fridge is heartless and cold – so is Facebook devoid of all emotion.
