The Ultimate Balance Challenge for a Boy

// 18th July
Guest author: Boy

When starting a relationship don’t ask a girl out until you know what the answer is going to be, and don’t touch a girl (even hold her hand) until you’ve asked her out. It sounds simple but if you can do this you have it down to a fine art, you are a master. All respect to you. You have no common ground with the fools who attempt to start relationships by semi-drunkenly pashing someone in a club.

(Oh and if you can get to that stage within a week of meeting her, you’re basically Hugh Grant. But no one wants that.)

    OK ‘boy’. Thanks for those words of wisdom. Though, some girls are closed books. You don’t know what they want, so how do you know the answer unless you ask. Some give you ’signs’ but you read these wrong, while others sit and mop to their friends because the guy they like hasn’t asked them out while not giving any indication to him. Solve this problem and you deserve to be a master. Drunkenly pashing is the easy way out. These relationships have no foundation and, more often then not, will collapse when trouble hits.

    h: If people are after the ‘easy way out’ then why are they seeking relationships in general- especially the type that will die at the first wave of trouble?
    Or is that all apart of the ‘try before you buy’ concept that our society has decided to adopt?
    If people want relationships, they need to understand that it needs to be worked on and that nothing is ever ‘easy’.

    Thanks for the advice boy, will save me some sexual harassment law suites in the future. :*)

    BTW, my girlfriend of 2+ years, we started going out when we where so drunk we didn’t know what the hell was going on. So the club snog does work!

    Cheers.

    Jonny: I’d dare say that’s like the creation of the modern incandescent lightglobe: The failure rate Vs Success is so high, one has to wonder if it’s the best approach (ie. You got lucky me thinks :P ).
    But as you point out- I suppose it can happen.
