I know you’re feeling my bad luck, but that’s too bad, ‘cos I’m alright.

Apologies for yesterday’s outburst. Most unlike me.

A Lynching

// 25th September

Port Adelaiade 17 11 113 defeated Brisbane 10 13 73

That’s okay. Brisbane had won three in a row, and seeing the newcomers win the premiership was good. Plus Brisbane played dirty football, using their fists like a bunch of schoolyard kids. Retards.

One Word, One Letter, One Line

// 23rd September

My brothers, tonight, whilst rubbing their heads together, were heard to say, “Let’s spread lice.”

“I think one of us has to have lice for it to work.”

A mere five minutes later my dad came up with a solution to swooping magpies: “Just set a rabbit trap on your head.”

Maybe it’s genetic? Why did I miss out?

Tri-Sarah-Tops

// 21st September

I went to the Enmore on Saturday night and saw Eskimo Joe, and it was fantastic. The place went predictably nuts when the extremely catchy From the Sea was played. I was also very impressed with the live rendition of I’m So Tired. The support band was Dogs Die in Hot Cars, who were very fun, and whose CD I purchased straight after the gig.

The girl and I also managed to spend copious amounts of money on music (far into three figures). I picked up The Manic Street Preachers The Holy Bible and Know Your Enemy, Radiohead’s OK Computer, and another copy of Muse’s Absolution, but this time with the Australian Big Day Out bonus disk.

The Bourne Supremacy was OK, though I didn’t really get the point of it. Maybe I should have seen The Bourne Identity first?

A most enjoyable and tiring weekend.

And the Polaroids

// 15th September

Things People Said (via CafeDave).

My favourite, from the kids’ ideas about love section-

“Tell your wife that she looks pretty even if she looks like a truck!”—Ricky, age 7

That’s sound advice if ever I heard it.
